Apple Ipad Books

One feature most Ipad owners love is its built in ebook reader. Apple has created an application famously known as the iBook which enables users to create their own virtual bookshelf and purchase eBooks with the help of its built-in iBookstore. The downside of this app is that ebooks offered at Apple's iBookstore are pretty expensive. You have to expect to pay up to $14.99 for a single ebook. This is why Ipad owners all over the world are looking for cheaper ways to download ebooks for Ipad.

The good news is that Apples iBook app uses the EPUB format. You should note that the EPUB file format is very similar to Word DOC and Adobe's PDF. The only difference is that EPUB is a standardized and free file format. It is universal in a way that almost every eBook reader can understand such file. One big exception to the list of eReaders is Amazons Kindle. But there is still the option to read EPUB files on Kindle. All you have to do is simply convert is by using a file converter.

The question that is still left to be answered is where you can find cheap Ipad books online and how you can avoid paying up to $14.99 for a single ebook at Apple's iBookstore. One thing you should note first of all is that Google offers over one million free books online. Google has provided a huge number of public domain books in the EPUB format. You just have to search for the eBook that you are looking for and pray that lucks on your side to get a free eBook from Google. Another option is to take advantage of epubBooks. This site has been developed by Mike Cook. If you have a look at the site you will realize that it is pretty similar to Google's. The only big difference is that some ebooks come with additional features such as color illustrations. The developer claims that the innovation provides great quality even if it is given away for free.

Another option is to go to your local library and take advanatge of the ebooks offered in EPUB format there. There are a lot of local libraries with digital libraries that can be found online and they also provide free books for you to download.

The project Gutenberg website is great for people who are in love with classic books. Project Gutenberg will give you access to over 30,000 ebooks for free. These are made available at no expense since their copyrights have already expired and are now in the public domain for everyones use.

If you start a search on Google you will find a lot of websites offering either Ipad downloads or at a very cheap price.
